| The marina welcomes high
quality, well maintained boats whose owners wish to moor and settle
within an environment that operates within a philosophy of courtesy
and common sense. Moorers benefit from all aspects of maintaining
their boats at Blackwater Meadow and further, enjoy discounts on
many of the services that are available.
We do operate a waiting list at the marina and there
is limited availability for berths as occasional spaces become available
through cyclical movement.
You may register your details on our Waiting List
by clicking here.
The marina has a lovely rural feel about it yet is
just a stone's throw from the centre of Ellesmere. Family-owned
grocery shops, tea shops and restaurants are the rule here and expect
warm, friendly service.. Just a few yards up the road is The White
Hart, reputedly the oldest pub in Shropshire, serving fine ales
and home cooked food. Sunday Dinner is highly recommended.

Market day is Tuesday and the Market Hall in the centre
of town holds the market which has been held continuously since
1221!
If you are not cruising and enjoying some of the stunning
experiences on the Llangollen or Shropshire Union Canals, you can
sit back and relax in the marina or take one of the many beautiful
walks around the immediate area. Wander to Colemere, passing through
an early Canal tunnel and past Blakemere, a lake created by glaciers
12,000 years ago. Try the Meres Visitor Centre or enjoy a hearty
lunch at the lakeside restaurant which specialises in locally produced
food. Its pies are delicious and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming.
